Leased property

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) holds a number of Crown leases across its industrial estates which were progressively established since 1962 under the Land Act 1994 and precedent Acts.  These ‘legacy’ leases (Term, Perpetual, Freeholding) were a Qld Government initiative to facilitate industrial development, as well as support industrial users seeking to operate and/or expand in Queensland. In accordance with the Land Act, the lessee has the opportunity to apply to convert the lease to freehold tenure.
