The Salisbury Plains Industrial Precinct, near Bowen, is close to the heart of the Queensland resources industry and the Port at Abbot Point. A Port which is responsible for handling approximately 8% of Australia’s export coal.

Our business will play a key role in servicing international demand for Australian resources and supporting the economy.

Over the past 30 years, Hillery Group has grown from a small civil service provider to a complete on site quarry and civil earthmoving company, supplying a diverse range of quarry materials Queensland wide. Our Head Office and depot is located in Bowen Queensland and we currently own and operate four quarries in Bowen, Collinsville and Abbot Point, alongside a decomposed granite pit and sand reserve just outside of Bowen. Our business is part of the Salisbury Plains Industrial Precinct and has proven to be a winning place for business as we have connectivity to transport linkages such as North Coast Railway Line, Bruce Highway and access to deep water ports.  We are part of our region that is one of the most naturally beautiful coasts of Australia as well as one of the largest coal mining regions and this makes it an economic hub that continues to strengthen year after year.
